Honoring the Heart Behind the Farm This Father’s Day

Father’s Day is here, and we wanted to take a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate—not just the fathers by name, but all those who love, lead, and care like one.

When we think about what it means to be a great father, we think of Johnny Burt—the man who, alongside his wife Kathy Burt, built Burt’s Pumpkin Farm into what it is today. Johnny is a proud father to three, a grandfather to 9 and a great-grandfather to 9 (with 2 more on the way), and somehow still makes room in his heart for everyone who visits the farm.

He’s not one for fanfare, but anyone who knows Johnny knows he’s the kind of person who shows up, does the work, and makes you feel at home. He’s steady, kind, and always ready with a laugh or a helping hand. It’s a quiet kind of care—the kind that leaves a lasting impact.

If you’ve met Johnny, you’ve likely felt it—that deep, paternal quality that makes you feel like family. And it’s no surprise that the same qualities he carries reflect the love of our Heavenly Father—a source of comfort, guidance, and grace. Someone we lean on in times of joy and seasons of hardship. Someone who listens when we simply need to talk. Someone who shows up, no matter what.

This Father’s Day, we hope you take the time to celebrate the fathers and father-figures in your life—whether they are biological, spiritual, chosen, or simply present. We’re grateful for the men who lead with love and serve with quiet strength.

And if today is a hard one—whether you’re missing your dad, grieving unmet expectations, or navigating this day with a heavy heart—please know we see you. We honor your story, and we are lifting you up in prayer.

From all of us at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm—and from Johnny himself—Happy Father’s Day.
Thank you for letting our family be a small part of yours.

With love,
The Burt’s Pumpkin Farm Family
