Mid-July on the Farm: The Countdown Begins!
We can hardly believe it’s already mid-July—summer is flying by! Here at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm, we’ve been busy behind the scenes, and the excitement is building.
Our pumpkin plants are thriving in the Georgia sunshine, and the fields are beginning to show that magical orange hue we all love. Inside the kitchen, we’ve been baking up a storm—pumpkin nut rolls, pies, and other homemade goodies that you’ll soon be able to enjoy with your family.
If you’re not already following us on social media, now’s the time! We’ve been sharing videos and sneak peeks of life on the farm as we prepare for fall. There’s so much going on, and we love bringing you along for the journey.
We know it still feels like summer (and yes, it’s hot!), but Opening Day is less than 45 days away—and we’re counting down!
Let us paint a picture for you…
It’s a crisp Saturday morning in October. You’ve had your pumpkin spice latte out on the front porch without breaking a sweat. You load up the car, bundle up the kids, and take a scenic drive through the North Georgia mountains. The leaves are golden, red, and orange. Fall has officially arrived.
You pull into Burt’s Pumpkin Farm, and your kids can hardly contain their excitement. They run into a sea of orange pumpkins, laughing and racing to find the perfect one to carve at home. You snap a few pictures (because of course, this is a memory you’ll want to keep).
Next up: a hayride through the beautiful fields and wildflowers, where you catch a glimpse of Amicalola Falls through the trees. It’s peaceful. It’s joyful. It’s everything fall should be.
Before heading home, you stock up on your must-haves—baked goods for the freezer, apple cider for the ride home, and maybe a pie or two for later. Your kids smile at you and say, “Thanks for the best day ever, Mom.”
“Life is good. And it’s almost fall at Burt’s.”
These pictures are from this week on the farm — the pumpkins are growing bigger every day! We’ll see y’all on the farm before you know it.
