Spring Is in the Air… We Think! 🌸 North Georgia Weather, Early Planning & Timberline Glamping at Amicalola Falls
If you’ve lived in North Georgia long enough, you know spring doesn’t exactly arrive quietly. One day it’s 75 degrees and you’re outside in shorts working on your early-season tan… the next day the tornado alarms are going off… and somehow there might even be snow in the forecast - all within the same week!
That’s just part of life in the mountains, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Even with the ups and downs, we can tell spring is on the way. The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom, the bees are buzzing again, and the mountains are slowly turning green. Around here, when nature starts waking up, we do too.
And believe it or not…
We are less than 170 days away from Opening Day at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm on September 1st!
While the farm is still in its quiet season, we know a lot of our Burt’s fans love to plan ahead - especially when it comes to fall trips to the North Georgia mountains. So today we wanted to share one of our favorite nearby spots that makes the perfect addition to your summer plans or your fall visit to Burt’s.
A Hidden Gem Near the Farm:
Timberline Glamping at Amicalola Falls
Just down the road from us at
Amicalola Falls State Park you’ll find one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. Home to the southernmost point of the Appalachian Trail and Georgia’s tallest waterfall.
Glamping Safari Tents
And tucked right inside the park is one of our favorite neighbors:
Timberline Glamping
If you love the outdoors but also love a comfortable bed, a fire pit, and a cozy place to relax… this is the perfect mix of nature and comfort.
Their spacious, fully furnished safari tents are perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a fun North Georgia getaway. Each site includes:
Comfortable beds inside the tent
Wood fire pit for evenings under the stars
Hammocks and picnic tables
Beautiful mountain views
Easy access to hiking trails
You can spend the day relaxing at your site, or take advantage of everything the park has to offer — hiking, zip-lining, archery, exploring the waterfalls, or grabbing dinner at the lodge. We recently spent some time there ourselves, grilling by the fire, hiking the trails, watching the brave ones try zip-lining, and finishing the day with dinner at the lodge and a stop in the gift shop.
It’s one of those places that reminds you why North Georgia is so special.
Perfect for Summer Trips… or Your Fall Visit to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm 🎃
If you’re planning a mountain getaway this summer, Timberline Glamping should definitely be on your list.
And if you’re already thinking ahead to fall (we always are), this is a great place to stay when you come to visit Burt’s Pumpkin Farm in September or October.
We love supporting our neighbors, and this is one experience we recommend to our Burt’s fans every year.
